Jane’s background includes being a PR agent, a pianist, a professional balloon artist and running a catering company for 35 years…before becoming a Master Practitioner of NLP, offering communication skills coaching to corporates and parents with stroppy teens! She wrote a book: Parenting By Stealth too which she attributes to the years of raising two exceptionally ‘spirited’ sons! Jane is a public speaker too recently giving a TEDx talk on How Afternoon Tea Could Save The World! This hints at what Jane currently does: she runs The English Cream Tea Company. In 2011, at the end of her KPI journey, Jane chatted with an elderly lady about best afternoon tea hotels. However when the lady said she could no longer have these treats because she was too frail to travel - it sparked the idea of creating a hamper delivery company to send delicious, indulgent afternoon tea hampers UK wide. That has led on to achieving the Guinness World Record for the largest cream tea party ever, appearances on BBC TV/radio, being featured in Woman and Home magazine and BA’s High Life magazine, winning product and business awards and creating videos on afternoon tea etiquette! Apart from creating fresh teatime or picnic hampers or postable treats like award-winning Brownies, Jane’s company now has their own brand of preserves, teas and gift packs for retail, e-tail and export. Recently Jane also signed her first licensing deal for use of her distinctive brand on cake tins, tea caddies and trays for sale all over Europe and UK. Exciting times.
