Ruth is a business psychologist and organisational and leadership development specialist with 15 years experience working across diverse industries and assignments. She is passionate about helping organisations bring out the best in their people by unlocking and harnessing their strengths as this is where there is greatest potential for growth development and optimal performance. Ruth is particularly interested in the application of the science of positive psychology to organisational success, which is the study of people at their best. She uses her signature strengths focused approach in her work with clients around themes which include personal effectiveness, developing resilience, authentic leadership, and management effectiveness and team optimisation. For the last 15 years she has facilitated, trained and coached at a variety of levels, from graduates to board representatives and developed leaders and emerging talent across sectors including financial services, pharmaceutical and professional services industries. Her work has taken her across the globe to Hong Kong, New York, Europe and the Middle East. In the last 6 years, she has developed a passion for working in the healthcare sector, and has designed and delivered a successful and award winning leadership development programme for senior leaders for the largest acute trust in the UK. She has also had a leading role in an NHS trust as an organisational development consultant leading on the culture transformation agenda. Her vision is for clinicians in healthcare systems to have the tools and resources to identify and activate their strengths to be able to do more of what they do best every day to ultimately positively impact patients and the staff who work with them. She is a licensed practitioner and global distributor of a world leading strengths based assessment tool called Strengthscope. She has personally coached and developed hundreds of leaders in the identification and application of their unique strengths. Her own standout strengths are: collaboration, developing others, empathy, and relationship building.
